Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.

This will be my third independent reading book choice. So far the first five chapters have really been interesting, this book is relate-able. A book about the 'complex bonds between a mother and daughter.' What girl does not have trouble with her mother occasionally?
I believe that the character, Sidda secretely really admires her mother. Her mother may have mentally scarred her as a child, which may be the reason why she doesnt admit to admiring her.
I hope that by the end of this book Sidda and her mother will mend their relationship.
It also uses a literary device with flashbacks.
